FAQ
Yes, you will consistently meet with the same registered dietitian at each session. This continuity helps build a strong therapeutic relationship, ensuring tailored support throughout your journey.
During your initial session with your registered dietitian, you can expect a comprehensive assessment of your current dietary habits, health goals, and medical history. Your dietitian will ask detailed questions to understand your eating patterns, assess any challenges you may be facing, and explore the emotional and psychological factors influencing your nutrition.
Based on this information, your dietitian will provide personalized recommendations, including nutrition education, goal setting, and a customized plan focused on building sustainable habits for long-term success. This consultation serves as the foundation for ongoing collaboration and support, with regular weekly sessions to help you stay on track and achieve your desired health outcomes.
At Everlong, we start by meeting weekly to provide focused support and help you establish healthy habits. As you make progress and develop sustainable changes, sessions may transition to biweekly or monthly, adapting to your needs. This personalized approach ensures that you have consistent guidance and accountability through all seasons of life, from holidays to major events, so you can continue moving forward toward your goals.
No, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is not the same as a nutritionist.
An RDN is a regulated healthcare professional who has completed specific educational and clinical requirements. They hold a degree in nutrition or a related field, have completed a supervised internship, and have passed a national exam to become certified. RDNs are experts in the science of nutrition and are trained to provide personalized dietary advice and medical nutrition therapy for various health conditions.
The term nutritionist is broader and not regulated in the same way. In most states, anyone can call themselves a nutritionist without specific qualifications or training. A nutritionist may or may not have formal credentials, and their scope of practice can vary widely. If you require specialized dietary advice for medical conditions, it’s essential to seek guidance from a registered dietitian to ensure you receive accurate and evidence-based guidance.
You should consult with a registered dietitian when you need personalized support to address your nutrition and behavioral health needs. This includes managing medical conditions, chronic diseases, weight management, food allergies, and improving your overall relationship with food. A registered dietitian can help you explore the emotional and psychological factors affecting your eating habits and provide evidence-based strategies to achieve lasting behavior change and health goals.
Our dietitians address a wide range of conditions, including eating disorders and disordered eating, chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, pediatric and prenatal nutrition, sports nutrition, weight management, and women’s health. We work with patients to develop customized nutrition plans that cater to their unique needs, helping them achieve optimal health and well-being.

All Everlong sessions are conducted via video call over Zoom. We recommend using a desktop computer or tablet for the best experience. You can access your session links through reminder texts and emails or by signing into your patient portal. Please note that you do not need a Zoom account to join your session, and your dietitian will not call you by phone at the scheduled time.
